Academic Decathalon

Advisor: Mr. Escoto

Academic Decathlon at UHS challenges students to think critically, collaborate, and excel across a wide range of subjects. Through rigorous preparation and team-based competition, students build confidence, deepen academic skills, and represent UHS with pride at the regional and state levels.

Speech & Debate

Advisor: Dr. Jarocki

Our Speech and Debate team develops confident, articulate thinkers through research, argumentation, and public speaking. Students compete locally and statewide while building critical thinking skills, poise, and the ability to communicate ideas with clarity and purpose.

Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad engages students in hands-on problem solving, teamwork, and scientific inquiry across a wide range of disciplines. Through competitive events and rigorous preparation, students strengthen analytical skills and apply classroom learning in real-world challenges.

Mock Trial

Advisor: Mrs. Downer

Mock Trial at UHS immerses students in the legal process through courtroom simulation, research, and argumentation. Students develop critical thinking, collaboration, and public speaking skills while working as a team to prepare and present a case in competitive settings.

Advisor: Mr. Mondragon

The UHS Math Team challenges students to think creatively and analytically through problem-solving competitions and collaborative practice. Participants sharpen advanced math skills, build confidence, and represent UHS in local and regional contests.
